HR Portal
HR Portals exploit browser technology to reach potential users who otherwise would not be able to access or use an organisation's HR systems – enabling data capture, review and analysis across a wider audience.
The Jane HR Portals are based on Microsoft Sharepoint technology and delivered as a series of flexible and comprehensive Web Parts performing functions such as displaying payslips or capturing expense claims. These can be used as the building blocks of newly created web sites or you can also use our pre-constructed sample Web Sites 'out of the box' or as the foundation for your own developments.
Self-service
The self-service module exploits the latest web technology to open up communication channels between employees, their line managers, and the Payroll and HR teams.
Using a company intranet or Internet site, employees can take responsibility for maintaining the data that pertains to them. By putting the onus on staff to keep personal information up to date, you will improve the quality and accuracy of the information you hold. Costs and time spent on administration is reduced and, as a result, payroll and HR specialists are able to spend more of their time on strategic issues and problem-solving, rather than sorting forms and entering data.
Authorised user
Similarly, it is important to empower employees who have jurisdiction over others to take full responsibility for data capture and authorization. By providing these users with the views of the data they require, they are in a position to capture, alter or create information such as sickness records and appraisal results, or to authorize holiday requests and expense claims made by self-service users. Users can also view absence trends and react to critical events, such as probationary interviews. This devolution of authorisation can help to improve the quality of data and encourage widespread use.
